LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - All through the night and the early a.m., heavy machinery has rumbled residents to sleep, then back awake again. For those living within a stone's throw of the project, the nights have been anything but peaceful.
Beeps of backing trucks, the tumble of concrete and gravel, and the noise of construction has disturbed residents for months. The noise has proved so bad that some neighbors have filed lawsuits in the hopes of getting a good night's sleep sometime soon. While it will be awhile yet before anyone gets some sleep, but the project is coming close to completion. When it is finished, the residents should have some relative quiet, and perhaps an easier commute. © 2012, Distributed by NEWS CONSORTIUM. - - - Pope Benedict XVI's Prayer Intentions for January 2013 General Intention: The Faith of Christians.
